About
Born in San Antonio, raised in Baltimore, and currently residing in Louisville, Malcolm creates his music in Voltaire’s Lab–his basement studio.
Composing
Malcolm began his formal training in composition at Towson University with Gordon Cyr and finished his academic studies at the University of Louisville, where he studied with Frederick Speck, Marc Satterwhite, and Steve Rouse.
Bass
Malcolm expends most of his bass-playing energy in his rock band Mad Alice (Check Mad Alice out on Facebook; come to a show if you’re in town). His playing comes from his heart, and his heart was fed a steady diet of John Entwistle, Chris Squire, Geddy Lee, and John Paul Jones.
